Juventus Acquires Guglielmo Vicario on Loan from Tottenham
In a significant transfer move, Juventus has secured Guglielmo Vicario, the goalkeeper previously with Tottenham Hotspur, on a season-long loan agreement. This announcement was made jointly by both the Serie A club and their Premier League counterparts on Tuesday.
The terms of the deal include an option for Juventus to convert the loan into a permanent transfer at the conclusion of the season, as confirmed by Tottenham.
Guglielmo Vicario, 29 years old, had joined Tottenham from Empoli in 2023, where he made an impressive total of 117 appearances, achieving 29 clean sheets throughout his tenure in North London. Notably, he played a vital role in helping Tottenham clinch the Europa League title in 2025, which marked the club’s first major trophy in a 17-year period.
The Italian international began his professional journey at Udinese and has had spells with various clubs, including Venezia, Perugia, Cagliari, and Empoli before making the transition to England.
Vicario was first called up to the senior Italy national team in March 2024 and currently holds five caps for his country, reflecting his growing prominence in Italian football.
