Benfica has announced the acquisition of Jhon Duran from Al Nassr on an initial loan deal, which will convert into a permanent transfer if specific conditions are satisfied. The fee for the potential permanent deal is reported to be around €30 million (approximately £25.5 million).

At just 22, Colombian forward Jhon Duran has experienced a remarkable professional journey. He first achieved recognition in Major League Soccer (MLS) before transitioning to the Premier League with Aston Villa. However, his tenure in Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr did not unfold as anticipated, prompting loan moves to Fenerbahce for the first half of the 2025-26 season and subsequently to Zenit St Petersburg for the latter half.
