Del Bosque Cautions Spain Against Underestimating Argentina in World Cup Final

In a recent statement, former Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque has urged the current national team to remain vigilant regarding Argentina as they prepare to face off in the World Cup final. Describing their opponents as a formidable “nuisance,” Del Bosque emphasizes the need for caution as Spain aims for victory.

Del Bosque, who famously guided Spain to a World Cup triumph in 2010 against the Netherlands, reflected on Argentina’s history and competitiveness. “Argentina are a tough team to play against – a real nuisance, if I may use the word – and they know exactly what they need to do,” he noted during an interview with El Pais.

He cited Argentina’s incredible comeback victory over England as a testament to their caliber, indicating that such performances underscore the threat they pose. “I see the final favoring Spain, but they need to be wary of the Argentines, given how difficult they are to face and their experience,” Del Bosque remarked, providing insight into the challenge ahead.

Despite his concerns, the 75-year-old former coach expressed his admiration for Spain’s journey through the tournament. He praised their commanding performances, insisting that the team played according to their strengths, showcasing both assurance and confidence throughout their matches.

The much-anticipated World Cup final is set to take place at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday, July 19th, with kickoff scheduled for 21:00 CET. Defending champions Argentina will square off against European champions Spain, vying for the prestigious title of world champions in football.
