Jadon Sancho’s Training at Flixton Non-League Club
In a surprising turn of events, Jadon Sancho has been spotted training at Flixton, a non-league club situated in Manchester, as the former Manchester United winger assesses his future following his release as a free agent. The 26-year-old footballer, known for his time with top clubs, is exploring the next steps in his career after a turbulent period in professional football.
Sancho’s journey began in 2021 when he transferred to Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund for approximately £73 million. However, his time at Old Trafford was marred by struggles to secure a regular position in the first team, leading to his exclusion after voicing concerns over being labeled a “scapegoat” for team failures.
After a short-lived return to Borussia Dortmund on loan, he spent a season at Chelsea, where he experienced some success, notably scoring in the UEFA Conference League final. His subsequent loan to Aston Villa during the 2025/26 season saw him contribute to the squad’s triumph in the Europa League, although he faced challenges in making a significant impact on the pitch.
With Aston Villa opting against a permanent transfer, Sancho found himself back at Manchester before officially ending his contract in June. Currently, there are reports linking him to Qatari club Al Rayyan as a potential destination, and in the meantime, he is focused on maintaining his fitness at the non-league club Flixton.
Sancho expressed gratitude to Flixton for the opportunity to train and emphasized the quality of the club’s training facilities, highlighting his determination to prepare thoroughly for the forthcoming phase of his career.
