JAIDON ANTHONY JOINS BRENTFORD FROM BURNLEY ON FOUR-YEAR DEAL

Brentford Football Club has announced the signing of forward Jaidon Anthony from Burnley on a four-year contract, which includes an option for an additional year. The Premier League team confirmed this transaction on Tuesday, revealing that the exact transfer fee remains undisclosed.

The 26-year-old player arrives in Brentford after making a notable impact at Burnley, where he netted nine goals in 38 appearances across all competitions last season. This performance was achieved despite Burnley’s relegation to the second-tier Championship, highlighting Anthony’s capability in a challenging environment.

Brentford’s head coach, Keith Andrews, expressed his admiration for Anthony, stating, “We’ve been aware of Jaidon’s journey for a long time and have always admired him from afar. He did really well last season, which is difficult in a team that got relegated.”

During his time at Burnley, Anthony accumulated a total of 81 appearances over two seasons. He initially joined the club on loan from Bournemouth before making a permanent move the previous summer.

As Brentford gears up for their 2026/27 Premier League campaign, they are set to kick off against Tottenham Hotspur on August 22nd, 2026. The addition of Anthony is expected to bolster their attacking options as they look to improve upon their previous season’s performance.
