Rosenior Poised for Paris FC Role

According to reports from RMC Sport, Liam Rosenior, the former Chelsea manager, is anticipated to return to France to assume the head coaching position at Paris FC, succeeding Antoine Kombouare. Following a brief stint back in England, where he was dismissed by Chelsea in April, Rosenior’s next chapter appears to be at Paris FC, where the club management seems ready to implement changes ahead of the upcoming season.

Despite Paris FC having resources, it seems management is reluctant to meet all financial demands, particularly those proposed by Kombouare, who recently expressed aspirations for increased funding to bolster the team’s performance. Daniel Riolo, a commentator on l’After Foot, noted: “The talks have dragged on to the point that the management has grown tired, and it’s over,” indicating a growing frustration within the organization regarding Kombouare’s requests.

There were earlier discussions involving Walid Regragui, but it seems that after several meetings, Rosenior emerged as the preferred candidate for the role. This decision comes after Kombouare managed to guide Paris FC to a mid-table finish upon his arrival at the club in February 2026. Kombouare had expressed his intention to return and lead the team, stating he would be “back for the restart” this Wednesday, but it appears that management’s strategic direction is aligned with a new appointment.

As the new season approaches, all eyes will be on Paris FC as they prepare to welcome Rosenior, a move anticipated to shake things up at the club and hopefully bring a fresh perspective to their Ligue 1 campaign.
