In a significant blow to Paris Saint-Germain, forward Bradley Barcola will be sidelined for several weeks due to a severe ligament sprain in his right ankle. This injury occurred during the Champions League match on Tuesday against Chelsea in London, as confirmed by the French club on Wednesday.
Barcola, who had an impressive showing, was substituted in the 59th minute by Desire Doue after scoring the second goal in PSG’s commanding 3-0 victory over Chelsea. This result allowed PSG to advance with an aggregate score of 8-2 in their last-16 tie.
Looking ahead, PSG is set to face either Liverpool or Galatasaray in the upcoming quarter-finals, with the first leg scheduled for April 7 or 8.
