Jesse Lingard Joins Brazilian Giants Corinthians for Remainder of 2026
Former Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard has officially signed with Brazilian club Corinthians for the remainder of the 2026 season, as announced by the team on Friday. This move comes after Lingard spent the last two years with FC Seoul.
According to Corinthians’ statement, Lingard’s contract carries the possibility of an automatic extension until the end of 2027, pending the achievement of certain performance metrics. The England international, who originally developed his skills at Manchester United’s youth academy, boasts a trophy-laden history, having secured titles such as the FA Cup, League Cup, and Europa League during his time at the club.
Following a challenging campaign at Nottingham Forest in 2024, where he failed to net a single goal or provide an assist in 17 appearances in the Premier League, Lingard made the move to the South Korean side. While with FC Seoul, he managed to find his scoring touch, racking up an impressive tally of 16 goals.
As Corinthians currently sit in third place in Brazil’s Serie A, they are set to host Coritiba on March 11, marking an exciting challenge for Lingard as he embarks on this new chapter of his career.
