AC Milan, Inter, and Juventus to Play Pre-Season Games in Perth
This August, a thrilling series of pre-season friendly matches will unfold at the Perth Stadium, showcasing the prowess of three of Italy’s top football clubs: AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Juventus. Initially, there were ambitious plans to host a significant Serie A match between AC Milan and Como at this Australian venue in February; however, those plans were scrapped in December due to restrictions enforced by the Asian Football Confederation.
Despite the cancellation of the original fixture, fans will still be treated to vibrant action as AC Milan faces Inter Milan on August 5. Just three days later, on August 8, Inter will take on Juventus, followed by Juventus’s match against Serie B’s Palermo on August 11.
Western Australia’s Tourism Minister, Reece Whitby, highlighted the advantages that such high-profile sporting events bring to the local economy. “We are consistently seeing the positive impact these major events have on our communities – boosting our tourism sector, supporting local jobs and businesses, and diversifying Western Australia’s economy,” Whitby stated on Thursday, reflecting the excitement surrounding the upcoming matches.
