Andy Murray Joins Jack Draper’s Team for Grass Court Season

Two-time Wimbledon champion, Andy Murray, is set to team up with fellow British player Jack Draper during the upcoming grass court season. Draper made this announcement on Tuesday, revealing that he has parted ways with Murray’s former coach, Jamie Delgado, after a six-month collaboration.

Murray, who ended his professional career in 2024, had previously shared a coaching partnership with Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic, a relationship that concluded in May 2025. Meanwhile, Draper, a former US Open semi-finalist, has faced numerous injuries this year and will be absent from the French Open due to persistent issues with his knee.

Expressing gratitude, Draper stated, “I am very grateful for everything Jamie Delgado has done for me over these past six months. He is a world-class coach and a great man.” He further mentioned that during this transitional period, he will continue to receive support from the exceptional team at the Lawn Tennis Association and is looking forward to having Murray by his side throughout the grass court season.

At 24 years old, Draper has yet to progress past the second round at Wimbledon, and only one of his three ATP titles has been secured on grass. While he has not clarified the specific role that Murray will take on in his team, reports suggest it may involve a coaching capacity.
