Mukiele Nets Winner as Sunderland End US Tour with Tight Victory over Wrexham
In a thrilling conclusion to their pre-season tour in the United States, Sunderland emerged victorious with a narrow 1-0 win over Wrexham at Philadelphia’s Subaru Park, thanks to a decisive strike from Nordi Mukiele.
Mukiele found the net in the 34th minute, capitalizing on an excellent interplay with teammates Trai Hume and Brian Brobbey, finishing with precision from a challenging angle, which ultimately sealed the victory for the Black Cats.
Sunderland’s manager, Regis Le Bris, was pleased to have Robin Roefs, Habib Diarra, and Noah Sadiki back in the starting lineup after they took a break following their participation in the World Cup.
