Mykhailo Mudryk Set to Return After Doping Ban
Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk is poised to resume competition following the resolution of his doping case by the English FA. This conclusion came after the FA collaborated with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to address the matter, as announced by the governing body on Friday.
Mudryk faced an adverse analytical finding stemming from an anti-doping test conducted in October 2024, which led to a four-year suspension imposed by the FA in April. The player subsequently filed an appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport against this ruling.
In a statement, the FA confirmed that the appeal proceedings have now been concluded with Mr. Mudryk’s agreement, acknowledged in coordination with WADA. Under the terms of this agreement, it was recognized that Mudryk had indeed committed Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs) and he consented to a suspension period that corresponds to the duration already served up to the date of the agreement.
