Potential Opponents for Danish Teams in the Conference League Playoffs

In a significant development for Danish football, FC Midtjylland, FC Copenhagen, and FC Nordsjaelland have now ascertained their potential opponents for the upcoming playoff round of the UEFA Conference League. This was made possible by the recent draw conducted at UEFA’s headquarters in Switzerland.

Starting with FC Copenhagen, if they manage to secure a victory against Hungary’s Debrecen, they will face the winner of the clash between Finland’s Inter Turku and Liechtenstein’s Vaduz in the next stage.

Meanwhile, FC Midtjylland, hailing from Central Jutland, will encounter either Croatia’s Rijeka or Finland’s Ilves should they overcome Ireland’s Bohemians in their upcoming match.

FC Nordsjaelland will first need to contend with Iceland’s Valur. If they emerge victorious, they could potentially face either FC Sheriff, representing Transnistria in Moldova, or Switzerland’s St. Gallen.

Additionally, it’s important to note that AGF will battle either Benfica or Hearts in the Europa League qualifying playoff round, contingent upon the outcome of their matches against Sabah FK. Should the Danish champions excel and defeat Sabah, they will have to navigate a challenging tie against either Hapoel Be’er Sheva FC from Israel or Serbia’s Red Star in the decisive two-legged matchup.
