Inter Milan Completes Signing of Djed Spence from Tottenham

Inter Milan has officially announced the acquisition of Djed Spence, the England international full-back, from Tottenham Hotspur on a contract that extends until June 30, 2031. This significant move marks a new chapter in Spence’s career as he joins the Serie A champions.

Reports indicate that the transfer fee paid by Inter for the 26-year-old defender is approximately £30 million, which translates to around $40.59 million. The deal was finalized and acknowledged by the club on Saturday.

Spence, born in 2000, joins the Nerazzurri after having spent four years at Tottenham, where he made a total of 85 appearances and celebrated victory in the Europa League. However, his time at Spurs was characterized by limited opportunities in the first team, prompting loan spells at Stade Rennais, Leeds United, and Genoa. Ultimately, he managed to make a name for himself within the team.

In addition to his club success, Spence has represented England on the international stage, being part of Thomas Tuchel’s roster during the 2026 World Cup, where he played in eight matches and contributed to England securing third place in the tournament.

At Inter, Spence is set to reunite with fellow defender John Stones, who recently joined the Italian side on a two-year deal after departing Manchester City, further strengthening Inter’s defensive lineup.
