Maghnes Akliouche Joins PSG from Monaco in €50 Million Move
Paris Saint-Germain has successfully finalized the acquisition of Maghnes Akliouche, a 24-year-old midfielder representing France internationally, from AS Monaco for an estimated fee nearing €50 million. Akliouche, who has signed a contract extending until 2031, will don the iconic No. 11 jersey of the Parisian club.
This transfer followed intensive negotiations between the two Ligue 1 rivals, culminating in an agreement that recognized Akliouche’s burgeoning reputation following a series of standout performances with Monaco. His skill and talent also secured him a spot in Didier Deschamps’ squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup, further underscoring his growing impact on the game.
The midfielder began his career at local clubs before joining Monaco in 2017. He made his Ligue 1 debut for the Principality side in 2021, appearing 139 times overall, during which he scored 23 goals and provided 28 assists, showcasing his offensive capabilities from the midfield.
PSG sees Akliouche as the perfect replacement for Lee Kang-in, who recently transferred to Atlético Madrid. The young midfielder is expected to make his debut in an upcoming friendly match against Manchester United, as the team gears up for the forthcoming season.
