TEXANS LB HENRY TO’O TO’O SIGNS TWO-YEAR, $16 MILLION CONTRACT EXTENSION
In a significant move, linebacker Henry To’oTo’o has inked a new two-year contract extension worth $16 million with the Houston Texans. This announcement came on Thursday, solidifying To’oTo’o’s role within the team as a key player in their defense strategy.
The contract features the possibility of an additional million in performance incentives, showcasing the organization’s commitment to rewarding outstanding performance. At just 25 years old, To’oTo’o has demonstrated impressive consistency, amassing at least 90 tackles over the past two seasons. His latest season performance statistics are compelling; he concluded the 2025 season with 95 tackles, complemented by nine tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, four pass deflections, and 2.5 sacks. Such figures reinforce his value to the team as they aim to maintain a robust defensive lineup.
In line with bolstering their roster, the Texans have also made strategic additions and re-signings. Recently, they brought back Jadeveon Clowney, their former No. 1 overall pick, although the specifics of his new deal are pending. Moreover, safety Reed Blankenship was signed to a lucrative three-year contract valued at $24.75 million, while defensive end Logan Hall received a two-year deal worth $13.75 million. The Texans further highlighted their commitment to a top-tier defensive lineup by extending contracts for star pass rushers Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter. Anderson’s new contract amounts to a staggering three-year extension worth $150 million, with $134 million guaranteed, while Hunter’s deal spans one year at $40.1 million, featuring a signing bonus of $30.7 million.
